Linus Leaves the Malex Minute / MMN

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with significant sadness that I must report, Gabriel (Fopsworth) Markley (who plays Linus on the Malex Minute) is leaving not only the show, but our whole team.

I would like to say that the separation is a cordial one, but that would be a lie.

In recent weeks, he grew increasingly irritated for no apparent reason, and would frequently accuse me of the most outrageous misdeeds. His attacks continued to grow increasingly personal, and despite Peter's and my best efforts, he finally went so far as to leave the team completely.

Since we were all partners in the endeavor, we were forced to buy out Fopsworth's share, leaving some doubt as to how we will be able to pay the bills for the next six months.

The stress from this whole ordeal has taken a massive toll on those of us still with the team. I have developed an acute non-trivial respiratory infarction, and overnight Peter simply shed some of his trademark fluffy golden hair.

We're not sure it will ever grow back.

I don't want to spread negative rumors about Gabriel, as he is still our brother and we still love him, despite the irreversible harm he has done to us and our endeavors. Just please don't be surprised at Linus's sudden and permanent absence from future Malex Minute episodes.

Assuming we can afford to produce any more...

Things have been so crazy with the Malex Minute Party, I haven't even gotten a chance to catch up on the forums here in many days... But I'm trying not to sacrifice any quality in rushing Splicky Mission 01x20, so hopefully when I do finish it it'll be good.

Things are afoot! If you ever use MalexMedia.Net™ or its associated services, this news post applies to you!

I've mentioned before that I'm currently working on a number of major new changes to MalexMedia.Net.™ These changes will ultimately alter the overall look, feel, organization, and capabilities of the web site.

Even with all the major overhauling I'm doing, I really only have two overarching goals: 1) Make MalexMedia.Net™ and all associated services easier to use. 2) Increase the capabilities of the Malex Media Network's™ media distribution services for our Client Services as well as our own internal projects. (This goal has two main subgoals: Add Features and Improve Scalability.)

At this point, I need everyone who uses this site to come up with a wishlist of things they want to see. The more people mention something, the more likely I am to actually work on it.

There they are! Malex discussed in his blog how we're going to move to a new system, and this is a step toward that! So the emoticons will hopefully fit even better with the rest of the site's look & feel when we move everything else!

What do you guys think? Do you like them as much as the old ones? Do they look ill or anything? Can you see them well?

Okay. I'm going to try to get this done as early tomorrow as possible, and I'm going to see about prioritizing getting ahead with Splicky Missions in the near future (so this won't happen anymore). But it's actually not too terribly late right now, so if I hurry up and get to bed, things can probably go smoothly! Who knows - I might even get the mission up before anyone even comes to look for it!

Well, it's looking like the next splicky mission will have to wait one or two days. I'm going to the Hamvention, and we won't be getting back home for me to work on it until the day it's supposed to be released, or the night before.

Maybe I can try to get a week or two ahead with them again, or at least try to plan things a bit better... (We're getting ready to leave for the convention now, and I haven't started on the splicky mission yet... )

Rock, rock on!

Hey everybody, Malex here and I've got some great news!

Most everybody here should know by now that I love music. A lot. What you may not know is that I'm a big fan of practically all kinds of music. Not just the Electronica that I myself compose. In fact, I'm a total sucker for a good Rock song. (As in, I was inconsolable when DC Talk broke up. Simply inconsolable. And kudos if you even know who they were.)

He's a great film-maker and musician, and he's graciously agreed to share his work with us. So let's all give Nate a big welcome!

"!!!" = Problems

Hey guys... All April-Fools Day joking aside, things are looking bad for the MMN today.

Apparently, some hotshot cracked one of our servers - largo - wide open around 4AM this morning. Largo itself isn't responsible for too much, but it looks like they may have used it as a zombie to crawl into some other machines in our network.

Currently DNS is flaking out and mail is non-existent. Many of you are probably having trouble reaching our sites because of the DNS issues. We should have that resolved "soon". As for email, it's possible (though highly unlikely) that recent emails have been lost in both the incoming and outgoing directions.

When things are working right again, I will be sure to let you all know so you can resend any missing emails.

Until we know the full extent of the damage, there's bound to be some ups and downs. Please bear with us as we work hard to resolve this issue.
