Hey everybody, I promised an announcement that would affect every single Malex Medianite, so here it is. If you promise to read this entire post, I promise to keep it short:
Hey all! Just a quick note to inform you all of some changes we're making to our weekly lineup of stuff around here.
First and foremost, we're cranking Contradictionary up to a twice-a-week schedule! Starting the second week of October, we'll be seeing new Contradictionary comics every Monday and Wednesday. (The days of the week may change soon after that; the main takeaway is that you're getting twice as much Contradictionary goodness!)
I can't tell you how excited I am to feature such high-quality content on our site, and the thought of offering you more just fills me with delights. Sizzling, hickory-smoked delights, in point of fact.
Second, you should probably know that we will not be continuing to produce regular Splicky Missions after this latest batch runs out. When "Season Two" of Splicky Missions runs out - around the second week of October - we will be saluting those brave Splics and leaving them to their silly missions so they can enjoy themselves without having to wonder what the camera is there for.
In all seriousness, I can't thank Peter enough for the fine work he's done on Splicky Missions to-date. They have added something great to the site, and I will always be proud to call the Malex Media Network the home of the Splickies.
To clarify, before anybody sheds a bitter tear, I should point out three things:
1) We are not removing Splicky Missions from the site.
2) There will always be room for a special edition Splicky Mission should Peter feel inspired to do one.
3) We're just not pursuing a weekly release schedule (or any regular release schedule) for future Splicky Missions.
This was not a small decision, but it was a pretty easy one. The simple fact of the matter was that Peter wanted more time to pursue things he enjoyed better - things that genuinely have the potential to be more entertaining to more people - so I was all for it. It's easy to get caught up in doing things just because that's "the way it's done." But that's not how people reach their potential.
I still see this as a celebration, because we're doing new and exciting things. Anyway, I'll leave any further thoughts to Peter in his blog. And don't forget, you're always welcome to let us know what you think.
ttyl!

Hey guys. FYI I'm bringing the site down a couple of times this evening to upgrade some server software. If the site goes away, just check back in a minute or two and it should be back up. ![]()
(I know I should be giving more notice and doing maintenance in the middle of the night, but darn it, until this site makes some money I'll do maintenance whenever I feel like it!)

Running a business in this sort of economy is like waging a war. I'm sorry to announce the three latest casualties of this war:
» Community Chat Room
» Image Gallery
» MalexMinute.com (Not the Malex Minute!)
These three things will be going away within the next two weeks. The Chat Room will be removed shortly after midnight the morning of Wednesday, March 4th, and I have no plans to put it back.
Also on Wednesday, March 4th, we will be launching something new and exciting. (But, as always, a secret!) More on that later. For now, read on for details about what's going away and why…
Hey everybody. This is just a quick note to inform everyone that our RSS URLs have changed. If you don't use RSS and/or don't know what I'm talking about, this message probably doesn't apply to you. ![]()
Old URLs will continue to work, but it would be best if you all update your news readers and podcatchers to point to these new URLs:
» Main RSS Feed: http://feeds.malexmedia.net/malexmedianetwork
» Malex Minute Podcast: http://feeds.malexmedia.net/malexminute
These new feeds are supplied by FeedBurner, which will help us get a better idea how many people are using our RSS feeds. (And help us continue to provide RSS feeds without breaking the bank.)
If you're looking for other feeds, you should note that our other (older) feeds are now unsupported and may have been removed. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thanks for staying in the loop with RSS!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with significant sadness that I must report, Gabriel (Fopsworth) Markley (who plays Linus on the Malex Minute) is leaving not only the show, but our whole team.
I would like to say that the separation is a cordial one, but that would be a lie.
In recent weeks, he grew increasingly irritated for no apparent reason, and would frequently accuse me of the most outrageous misdeeds. His attacks continued to grow increasingly personal, and despite Peter's and my best efforts, he finally went so far as to leave the team completely.
Since we were all partners in the endeavor, we were forced to buy out Fopsworth's share, leaving some doubt as to how we will be able to pay the bills for the next six months.
The stress from this whole ordeal has taken a massive toll on those of us still with the team. I have developed an acute non-trivial respiratory infarction, and overnight Peter simply shed some of his trademark fluffy golden hair.
We're not sure it will ever grow back.
I don't want to spread negative rumors about Gabriel, as he is still our brother and we still love him, despite the irreversible harm he has done to us and our endeavors. Just please don't be surprised at Linus's sudden and permanent absence from future Malex Minute episodes.
Assuming we can afford to produce any more...

I apologize everyone, but the splicky mission is delayed this week.
Things have been so crazy with the Malex Minute Party, I haven't even gotten a chance to catch up on the forums here in many days... But I'm trying not to sacrifice any quality in rushing Splicky Mission 01x20, so hopefully when I do finish it it'll be good. ![]()

UPDATED! See below...
Things are afoot! If you ever use MalexMedia.Net™ or its associated services, this news post applies to you!
I've mentioned before that I'm currently working on a number of major new changes to MalexMedia.Net.™ These changes will ultimately alter the overall look, feel, organization, and capabilities of the web site.
Even with all the major overhauling I'm doing, I really only have two overarching goals: 1) Make MalexMedia.Net™ and all associated services easier to use. 2) Increase the capabilities of the Malex Media Network's™ media distribution services for our Client Services as well as our own internal projects. (This goal has two main subgoals: Add Features and Improve Scalability.)
At this point, I need everyone who uses this site to come up with a wishlist of things they want to see. The more people mention something, the more likely I am to actually work on it.
