Drawing them from overhead like that is a lot harder than I originally thought. I seem to remember trying to draw them from a higher angle here, but it basically looked no different because I didn't know how to do it. What do you guys think about this time?

I get it now, it was a bit hard to distinguish what part was the 'chessboard'... it was a bit chaotic with all the splickys (splickies, splicki?) and hard to notice that, but now that i see it, i like it ^^

This is my absolute favorite Splicky mission so far. There's just so much to look at. And I get such a sense of their inate cuteness and silliness. They seem to be taking the whole thing very seriously, yet coming up with the cutest, silliest stuff. I just love the little queens with their full-skirted gowns, the castles holding the parapets on their heads and the knights on their little hobby horses.
I can't imagine anything replacing this one as my favorite for a long while!
