I can't believe how wonderful this looks. The splickies look so real on the real background. I just love them and their stupid little missions.
One tiny suggestion: The writing - word balloons, explanatory notes, and description of the Splicky mission for the day - could all be bigger in my opinion. But keep in mind that I'm older than the rest of you, and I can still read it all.

At 100% zoom I couldn't even see the whole image on my screen, and they looked alright to me. Part of the problem is that the image needs to be no larger than 1600 px in its largest dimension, or it'll be so big people can't download it. I'll see what I can do in the future...

I think it looks great, and I can't wait to see more.
The biggest problem with hand-drawn text is that the characters too inconsistant for people to recognize immediately. Thus, at smaller size, it requires quite a lot of concentration to "get it".
Also... I can see the edge of the original picture to the left.
And... why have all the splickies had their noses amputated save the one front and center?

Yeah, that's a real bird; it's looks a little reptilian, so some evolutionists were trying to prove that it was really a lizard that had grown wings!! However, it has been proven that it's completely bird; it just happens to have bony wings and teeth! The evolutionists have since become very embarassed about the archaeopteryx escapade, and have come up with five other "missing links" since then.

Very cool Quartz. I'm not going to make it my desktop wallpaper yet because right now my wallpaper is a sweet photo of a turntable deck made by Technics, but I saved your Splicky Mission for when I get bored with the Technics.
Even though it looks like he's the first one to light anything, the intelligent Splicky lighting the stick of dynamite doesn't really have a shot at the cash prize, does he? Or being alive for that matter.
