This is a text based adventure game! Here's how it will work. You people are the adventures and I'm the gamemaster. You will run around in a text described world created by me; gathering treasure, solving puzzles, and outwitting the occasional bad guy. There will be a preset starting place that I will describe shortly. If you wish to play then you simply add a new comment with the subject as "starting to play" and you tell me in the body of that comment what you'd like to know where you'd like to go etc. I will keep track of everyone separately but you can interact with other players if your on the same space. Here goes nothing folks. There will probable be some kinks but we'll iron them out as we go!
PS. To those who have been playing please reply to the appropriate comments listed below.
Welcome to Fopsworth's first dungeon. You awake at the bottom of a short, grassy hill. To the north, up the hill, sits an imposing, brick manor. To the Northwest, up the hill, is the beginnings of a sprawling thorn bush. You think you can see a small path leading into it. To the west is a thick wood. To the south, southeast, and east is a worn dirt road that runs east and south.
To Lilly
You are in a dense, dark forest. The only pathways you can possible fit through are to the west and to the east. There is also a large, spreading oak with branches just low enough for you to grab. There is a large stick lying here.
You picked up the stick. It's a long, bark-less stick. Can be used a weapon, a walking stick, or just about anything else you can think of. Not really, I lied.
If you always know that the worst can happen at any moment then you are very rarely surprised. - Me
"Sir, the ketchup is becoming violently familiar with the guests." - me
To Quartz
There is nothing but dust in the left and middle ones but in the right one you find a Lighter. Its scarlet and silver and can be used to give light, to set things on fire, or just about anything else you can imagine. Not really, I lied.
You go west. You are standing in what appears to be a lounge. The floor is a light brown wood with a large, red rug covering the middle of it. The walls are a plain white. There are doors leading to the north and the east. There are two very nice looking windows, one in the west wall and one in the south. There is a very pretty, marble and brick fireplace set into the west wall. Facing it are two ambiguous gray armchairs and a sofa. There is also a tall trophy cabinet to the left of the east door.

I'm sorry, Tomphson, but there is no light switch, and even if you are a boyscout you cannot take anything into this world. You only have a satchel right now, but I'm sure that if you keep looking you will find a means to conquer the darkness.

I know you said you wouldn't be able to play but just in case you change your mind...
You are standing on a small, concrete patio in front of a large manor. To the north is a white door leading into the manor. To the west is a sprawling thorn bush. To the south is the base of the hill. To the east is a worn dirt road. There is an obvious lack of an umbrella here.

Lilly going back
You are standing on a platform in the middle of a very long suspension bridge. To the northwest the bridge continues and you can barely make out that it meets up with a large tree growing out of a plain in the distance. To the southwest and below you is the dark, dense forest. To the southeast is a wooden platform in the top of an oak tree. To the northeast is a thorn maze. You think you can see some people wandering through it.

Quartz peeking about
The two ambiguous gray armchairs and a sofa are sitting on the rug so you can't look under it very far. There isn't very much to see, but one thing you do notice is that it gives a little more from under one armchair then it does the other or the sofa.
You find that the fireplace is very normal and that there is an abundance of logs sitting in it. There is also a box of matches sitting on it.
You open the trophy cabinet to find three little elephant statues standing all in a row. They appear to be made of ivory. Someone's idea of a little memorial maybe? There is nothing else in the cabinet.
If you always know that the worst can happen at any moment then you are very rarely surprised. - Me
"Sir, the ketchup is becoming violently familiar with the guests." - me
Ooh valuables...
Of course I take the box of matches and the ivory elephants.
I investigate the grey armchair to see if I can figure out why the rug is easier to slide out from under it than the other furniture in the room. Maybe its legs are uneven…?
So now I have an umbrella, a flowery letter opener, a piece of paper and fountain pen, a rifle and thirty bullets, a lighter, a box of matches, and three ivory elephants?

There's nothing under the rug, chairs or table. The magazines are: Secret Clubhouses monthly, Codes That No One Can Break monthly, and Rowdy Boys monthly. As you pick up Secret Clubhouses monthly a gold piece of paper falls out.
