A bird in a cage. But which is real and which is imaginary?

Cuckoo Cage is a hilarious short film which our team conceived, cast, produced, scored, and edited in a matter of 24 hours for a 24-hour film festival in 2007.

It is presented here for you to laugh at. Mirthfully. None of that malevolent, judgmental laughter will be tolerated.

What happens when you wander too far off the beaten path?

Finally!

I only announced this short film three weeks ago, but it seems like an eternity to me. It took us 25 days from start to finish to complete this film, (including 10 days to render the CGI) and it's quite possibly the coolest thing our team has ever accomplished.

So go ahead and watch it, get excited because it's way more awesome than you expected, then put a copy on your iPod and share it with all your friends. :)

we haven't done much in the way of preparing for israel, to be honest there wasn't a ton we had to do. we moved scott out of his apartment, packed up our gear, and are basically waiting to go at this point. the second half of the video entry is pretty much stupid, it's just a few things we did while waiting to leave. we did see a moose on our dune buggy ride however, that was dang sweet!

MAY 8, 2007

thus far i've been in utah for just over a week.

i work with four guys from ages 40 to 70, and none of them act their age, much less mine. i love these guys so much, and i am excited that this is the place i am needed right now. today we did extensive testing with the cameras and other technical thing-ee-madoosits. i can barely believe that all that's expected of me here is to shoot, edit and research geek stuff. what a blessing!

Managua Documentary

this documentary was shot over a period of eight days in Managua Nicaragua. i went down with a team of 16 members from my home church to tend to the needs of many of the hurting people in the small villages outlining Managua. we separated into four groups in which we shared the gospel, worked construction of many of the homes, ran a medical clinic, and gave out 250 Christmas gifts to the local children. the documentary in and of itself serves the purpose of showing you everything that went on during those eight days just as we saw it. i hope that it helps you to understand how much the resources that we have are needed in a place where people are lacking so much.

for starters, i don't capitalize the letters in my sentences. secondly, hello!

my name is nathan lundquist and i've recently been officially inducted to the mmn community. i'd first like to thank malex personally for such a prestigious honor (nate offers malex a plaque along with a handshake and they pose for several photographs before stepping off stage).

the video you see posted here is obviously entitled "this happened to a man." the reason is because this happened to a man. what happened to a man you might ask? well, watch the video. or you can just read on as i explain:

Watch as Brian DeLay amazes Malex with magic tricks and things!

In conjunction with his interview on Malex Minute 016, Brian was kind enough to perform a few crazy illusions in front of the camera. Here is the video of that session: Proof that The Shaman does cool stuff.

By the way, if you think you know how it's done, congrats... Just please don't ruin it for everybody else by posting about it.

Journeyman

Here is Journeyman, an artsy, symbolic short film that Filman and I put together yesterday. It was mostly an experiment in a number of different areas, but it turned out so well!

There are two mistakes that we made and caught on tape which ended up in the final version... can you spot them?

Anyway, this is very different from our usual fare, but I hope you like it regardless.

enjoy!
