It's very beautiful to watch. I can see why you aspire to it, Shaman. And I don't see any reason why you couldn't do stuff like that.
Though, I have a question. You said you, "got ... owned"? Does that mean you don't know how the trick was done?

I know the concept of the trick
but that doesn't mean I have nearly enough skill to do it. It's more I got caught in the total awe of magic for a change instead of dissecting it.

Magic videos
I didn't like the music and found it needlessly distracting. Maybe it should have been instrumental.
Am I the only one who thinks that magic on video is kind of a visual oxymoron, as it were? I'm never impressed by it, because I've been conditioned to the fact that any visual effect is possible on videos.

As to the song...
Wow. That was absolutely beautiful. I love the way he would make certain movements at specific time that went with the way the music sounded (doing things on certain crescendos, etc.), and the lyrics (i.e., he cuts the deck of cards with a single card as the singer says "cuts like a knife"). The music was beautiful. It really pulled me in. I think that the distracting element of the lyrics was completely intended. Magicians usually say something to distract you, but in this instance, the song artist was doing the distracting. I think it is all very tactfully put together. And the resulting effect is GORGEOUS!
