Well, I feel very strange. I just went to unprecedented drastic measures last week to trim down the process of creating a Splicky Mission, and this week almost looks decadent in comparison.

I certainly hope to maintain the level of entertainment within the wrapper of graphic quality, to be sure. But you might think from all of this that I have an inconsistent, impetuous streak, and that I decided after weeks of sacrifice to indulge myself and spend significantly more time on this week's mission.

However the opposite was true. In what I hesitate to again vainly claim to be the last desperate throe in the struggle for time and efficiency, I produced this mission with no paper. I painted it in the computer.

Again, unprecedented. And again, it broke the record for most efficient production process!

I didn't take meticulous enough notes to say with any certainty that this mission took less total time to produce than the last one, but to be sure the quality-to-time-cost ratio skyrocketed (graphically speaking)! I had never before entertained for even a moment the thought of discarding the paper sketch stage from the process, and as soon as I did I lurched forward!

I know this mission didn't take much longer to produce than the last one, so it's like buying twice as many eggs for the same one-dozen price!

Although, I'll have to keep a closer eye than before on the humor and appeal in the missions, as I have historically lost sight of such things with such extravagance in the comparatively superficial realm of graphics. And I will also keep a close eye on the cost of time this new production process demands. It can be tricky being sure about these things, as evidenced by my recent indecision upon a "good" process from week to week.
