Splicky Mission 01x52 - Cartoon!

Dear Fans
Over the past few weeks as I’ve thought what to say in this Dear Fans section of Splicky Mission 01x52, one phrase in particular kept popping into my head: long-awaited. Yes, Splicky Mission cartoons have indeed been long awaited.
I always felt intimidated by the prospect of drawing each individual frame of a professional-quality animation. I’m still not sure why. I have a large collection of silly (some poorly made) little flip books (one of which I adapted into The Accident using keyframe animation), with which that was exactly what I did, so it was’t like I was entirely estranged to the theory – a fact I came to terms with quite quickly in practice.
But recently Malex bought me a copy of The Animator’s Survival Kit by Richard Williams, director of animation on Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And reading from a professional about the practicalities of simply rolling up your sleeves and doing the work really helped shake off this notion of mine that there was some magic trick behind it all.
So as the finale of Splicky Missions Season One approached, I knew I would want something very special for Splicky Mission 01x52. I had thought of another Search & Find special edition, but I knew deep down I wanted to do a cartoon.
So now I feel like I’ve broken a barrier here with animating! 
There’s a little bit of inconsistency between scenes here (keyframe animating on the first scene, lines too thick on the next, etc. …) because I was still figuring it out as I worked on this cartoon. Thus far, I have been a graphic designer, so my first steps animating are a little clumsy.
But now I believe I can safely say: I am also an animator.
See you at the beginning of Splicky Missions Season Two as Splicky Missions return to normal! In the meantime, enjoy!

Although I've known about this for a while, and even seen it in its completed form, I'm still amazed seeing it here. You guys are just so amazing to me! Is there nothing that MMN can't accomplish?

Wow. WOWWWW!!!!. Qz, I already told Malex this, but I thought I ought to let you know, too. This short is VERY high quality! The first time I saw it, I was blown away *whooooosh*. This animated short is so excellent in quality, it is the type of material that is on par with children's programs that I see on cable television. I'm not kidding or trying to make you feel good by exaggerating. Really. I would expect to see something like this on Play House Disney, or something like that. Way to go!
