Well, I'm sure you're all very cozily used to the way things tick with Splicky Missions. However, there are a few underlying details I feel that I've left very disorganized. So to the end of reconciling organization and respecting your comfort just as an artist thinking of his audience longs to, I'll describe all the changes I'd like to make, and before I make them I'll let you guys all tell me what you think.

First of all, the way the missions are labelled. Instead of having a big, unwieldy, of-low-significance, hard-to-explain-to-new-people "Splicky Mission: Unafer Septas Pentof 2000," for example, I'd like it if that mission was simply called "Splicky Mission 02J," and all missions from then on similarly. In fact, I want to even discontinue the existence of those awkward made-up words like "Unafer" and "Septas" and all the other 22 of them.

More to the core issue of actual canon, I'm changing the idea that splics exist only on alien planets. In Malex Minute 032, we run into a splicky mission that is clearly not on Earth, but perhaps the people/splics that organize and run Splicky Missions can do their job on more than just Earth. I think it might be more fun, too, to pretend that splickies have hidden among us all along.

Also, here some of you may recall the appearance of a so-called un-especial splicky. I would like to change is so that no such splics exist, and that splic was just a case where I forgot the element in his orb while constructing that splicky mission (especially since, before I tried to shrug off the problem by adding things to the splicky universe, that actually is what I did - there were so many orbs in that mission ).

Fourthly, in the Mother's Day splicky mission we saw that Mom splickies actually differed in form from your average you Splicky Missions cantestant. I would like to recant this complicated idea, and maintain henceforth that, as an example, SangMing is a normal Mama splic.

I know, it kinda feels like ...cheating to simply change canon, just like that. (Otherwise, how can "canon" continue to mean anything? ) Gimme a break, though, it was my first try with anything like a canon. And I just recently grew up a lot, which in this case invovled a major personality tweak.

So, what does everyone think of this? Would these changes impede you enjoyment of Splicky Missions in any way? I'll probably wait a week or so before making anything here official, to give you guys the chance to thumbs-up first.

I'm fine with all that...

Except!... the momma splickies!

I can understand some reasons to change them. But, it's just that, they're so beautiful and they're such a creative idea! I love them and have loved them since I first saw them.

Maybe they can be, I dunno, special momma splickies or something...
