My weekend in Mannheim

I've moved into an apartment on a tiny military base 10 minutes away from downtown Mannheim!

I had a great weekend, me and my buddy Adkins walked around the entire downtown Mannheim area and went to a couple of outdoor rock concerts. We also found an underground discotheque where they play techno.

Yesterday we met a couple of really cute German girls who asked us where we were from and if we had girlfriends (!!!). We said no and that we weren't looking for any (because they were 17 and we're both 19).

Oh, and I'm out of Euro and I don't get paid until Wednesday. Mom and Dad, send me money.

Cool... Why underground though? Techno isn't illegal in Germany or anything, right?

This sounds like a bad situation. Couldn't you have seen it coming? ...And do you really expect money to get to you by Wednesday if they send it now? (Or is it some sort of internet thing or charge account or something like that?)

Well, that should help curtail the shenanigans, but I repeat: BE CAREFUL!

For those who are interested in following Icepunk around the world, here is a

map of Germany. If you click on this map, it will enlarge. To find Mannheim, go to the western border of Germany, about 3/4 of the way down. You'll see a place where France kind of juts eastward into Germany. At the point of that piece of France, you'll see the Rhine River. Follow that north and the first city you'll see on the map is Mannheim.

Umm...actually, we were gonna ask you for some.

"..underground discotheque where they play techno..." I was reading that symphony orchestras started in Mannheim. They should have still have some great Classical in tribute to that. Wish I was there!
