Ok, someone's gotta draw the line somewhere. This is ridiculous. Haven't these people ever heard of context? Seriously; Santa's never been a womanizer, he's always been a jolly old soul! Well, at least, he was before my Orks were done with him... but that's beside the point!

"Ho, ho, ho!" is Santa's traditional greeting. Santa saying anything else is just nonsensical. This is political correctness at its absolute worst.

This is me ending my rant before my head explodes because I don't have enough duct tape to wrap my head in to cover up the mess.

Ho Ho Ho

This news article smacks of pure nonsense. Snopes doesn't have anything on it, but I'm willing to bet that if this isn't 100% hogwash, then it's surely exaggerated. The only company name mentioned in the article is Westaff, and the connection between them and the "announcement" is not made clear. The article states that, "Sydney's [Australia] Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead" of "ho ho ho" because the latter "may be offensive to women." But it doesn't say who is being quoted here. It has all the hallmarks of an urban legend, folks. An outrageous statement tailored to upset the masses. After all, why would a normal woman assume that the word "ho," uttered by a Santa Claus, is an epithet at all, let alone one directed at her? The implication here is that all women are whores, or at least expect to be considered whores, and profoundly stupid too. But where's the documentation?

Who said this? To whom? When?

Sorry guys, I just don't believe it.

I agree that this is stupid, but I personally don't care enough about the whole “Santa” tradition to mind. I just won't pay attention.

Issues

You know, if a woman automatically assumes that "ho ho ho" is directed as an insult at her, it only proves that she has serious internal issues to work out between herself, God, and the male sex as a whole. It says nothing about anyone else, certainly not Saint Nicholas.
